A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF DIFFUSION, THERMAL WAVE AND DUAL-PHASE-LAG HEAT CONDUCTION IN THIN LAYER

In the present work, three different modes of heat conduction, diffusion, thermal wave, and dual-phase lag, across a thin layer subjected to constant temperature insulated boundary conditions are compared by using finite element solution. The model is developed considering relaxation time flux gradient for single element. After assembling all elements, number algebraic equations obtained solved predict distribution Python. solution predicted lag with that single-phase Cattaneo–Vernotte’s diffusion Fourier model. validated analytical, numerical, experimental solutions good agreement. contours plotted way it propagates differently through clearly shown.
